The Newman Catholic Center is planning a wonderful weekend filled with nostalgia and fun the first weekend of October. Come back and enjoy 3 days of remembering your time here at Newman and UMass Amherst, reconnect with old friends and renew your excitement for the place that was your “home away from home” during your
academic career.

Cost is $125.00 per person


Friday Evening of Networking…

Begin the weekend at 5:30 pm with a few hours of reconnecting with those personalities that served you during your time both at Newman and UMass. Favorite professors, deans and coaches and Newmanites will be here to welcome you and share stories of days gone past.


Saturday – a fun filled day…

Our Newman Continental Breakfast will flow all morning – from 9am 11:30am …

…As our guests participate in a series of fun and motivating presentations that will tickle your fancy, make you laugh and provide a fun focus to your time back at Newman.

Saturday afternoon allows you some down time to enjoy the beauty of New England decked out in its finest just for you!
Our website gives you all the happenings in the Pioneer Valley.

Our 85th Anniversary Dinner begins with cocktails and hors d’oeurves at 5:30 pm…and at 6:15 pm you will be wowed by 4 professional Chefs who will cook your dinner right before your eyes and still have the time to chat and share their recipes.


Sunday, October 4th

Sunday morning begins with a 9 am Mass in Newman’s Seat of Wisdom Chapel and the weekend concludes with our 85th Anniversary Goodbye Brunch.

Begin your Saturday day, October 3rd, with the
Fr. Quigley 5K Run/Walk/Push
… registration begins at 8:30 am and the road race begins at 10:30 on a certified course. $20 per person; $10 for students of the Five College Area…
all to benefit the Fr. Joe Quigley Scholarship Fund.
This fund assists students with emergency needs during their academic career at UMass Amherst celebrating the life and ministry of Fr. Joseph Quigley – 1924 – 2005

Not a runner? Join us for a great walk around the course and begin your day energized and ready for all the fun you are going to have the rest of the weekend!
